Had time to work on my 80's style Laser show . It's my "Ship of Theseus" project . Currently I'm trying to get the individual colours working. Worst part is the complete lack of documentation for a lot of the parts I sourced off ebay so I'm going in blind with an oscilloscope and a multimeter trying to get all the pieces to talk to each other. Anyways, hoping to tie it into physics and animation - I'm had some success in converting Rhino 3D models into animated wireframe figures, which I can convert to the laser ILDA file format. Here's a nice laser show build

Been updating the site to a more online friendly format. Planning on setting up the last few units for this year and adding some resources. Physics 12 - created an Electrostatics section and added a few videos. Physics 11 - created a Waves section, added PhET simulation Drafting - added links to Sketchup web app and AutoDesk Revit download Animation - added link to Maya download Currently this is just prepping out and testing the Weebly platform to see how effective it is for distribution of content. Of course, communication and assessment are another matter. We'll see if we can get to that eventually. Here's an SD card versus a giant magnet Currently waiting on instructions as to how to proceed. Going to take the "throw it at the wall and see what sticks" approach. In the meantime... |
